Berta Errando was born in Barcelona starting out in the theatre world as a dancer at the age of 5.

In 1995 starts a Degree in Acting at Institut del Teatre in Barcelona winning a EC Erasmus Programme at Rose Bruford College, London in 1999. Those years starts writing her first plays and begins to stage them.

In 2000 moves to London, England, and funds the theatre company Vacuum Activity that creates five different plays and performes at The British Visual Theatre Festival and The Stoke Newington Festival.

Between 2004 and 2005 workes temporarily in Milano, Italy, in “Le Baccanti” by Eurípides and “Le Rane” by Aristófanes both directed by Luca Ronconi and produced by il Piccolo Teatro di Milano.

In 2006 at Mono Festival 2006, Castelldefels (Barcelona), opens “Deliris”, the first MELANINA TEATRE play. In 2007 performs in "Blue Peaches" by Joan Tharrats at Femenine Touches, London, a festival for female artists.

Since 2006 workes in a tv progemme for children called Club Super3 directed by Dani Ventura and produced by Televisió de Catalunya.

In 2009 wins a prize for “Xàndal” playwright at I Certàmen de Textos Teatrals Vila de Gràcia And keeps creating plays with MELANINA TEATRE.
